Early Mornings and Emergency Calls A Day in HVAC Service

5:30 AM – Rise and Shine

The day starts early in the HVAC service world. After a quick breakfast and checking the weather forecast for Chicago and surrounding suburbs, I load up the All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning service van with necessary parts and equipment.

7:00 AM – First Call in Bolingbrook

Our first appointment is a routine maintenance check on a commercial HVAC system. These preventative services help catch potential issues before they become emergencies. While working through my checklist, I’m always looking for:

  • Filter conditions
  • Electrical connections
  • Thermostat functionality
  • System performance metrics

10:30 AM – Emergency Call in Skokie

A commercial client’s heating system isn’t working properly. In Chicago’s climate, this requires immediate attention. After diagnosing the issue, I find that the heat exchanger needs replacement. I communicate with the client about options and schedule a follow-up visit.

2:00 PM – Installation in Evanston

The afternoon involves a new system installation. These jobs require precision and attention to detail, especially when working in older buildings common throughout Lincolnwood and Morton Grove areas.

4:30 PM – Final Service Call in Niles

The day wraps up with a maintenance call in Niles. After completing the service, I ensure all paperwork is properly filed and the van is restocked for tomorrow’s calls.

5:30 PM – End of Day

Before heading home, I review tomorrow’s schedule, which includes stops in Park Ridge and Woodridge. In this industry, being prepared for the next day is crucial for maintaining efficient service across our entire service area.

Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our customers maintain comfortable environments in their homes and businesses throughout Chicago’s varying seasons.
