Morning Preparations
The day starts early at 6:30 AM when I arrive at our All-A-Round A/C, Heating & Refrigeration headquarters. After checking my service schedule and gathering equipment for the day’s calls, I load up my service van with the necessary parts and tools.
First Service Call – Wills Point
My first stop is in Wills Point, where a homeowner reported their furnace making unusual noises. These early morning calls are common during the winter months when families wake up to heating issues. After a thorough inspection, I identify a worn belt that needs replacement – a relatively quick fix that brings immediate relief to the customer.
Mid-Morning – Terrell
By mid-morning, I’m heading to Terrell for a scheduled furnace maintenance appointment. Regular maintenance is crucial for preventing major breakdowns, and I spend time:
– Checking and cleaning the burners
– Testing safety controls
– Inspecting the heat exchanger
– Calibrating the thermostat
– Changing air filters
Afternoon Rush – Forney
After lunch, I receive an urgent call from Forney about a complete heating system failure. When temperatures drop in East Texas, having no heat is an emergency. I rearrange my schedule to accommodate this priority call, knowing our commitment to prompt service in our coverage area.
End of Day – Kaufman
My final stop takes me to Kaufman for a furnace replacement consultation. I evaluate the current system, discuss options with the homeowner, and provide a detailed quote for a new, energy-efficient heating system.
The sun sets as I complete my paperwork and head back to base, knowing that tomorrow will bring new challenges and opportunities to help keep our East Texas neighbors comfortable in their homes.
Remember, whether you’re in Canton, Terrell, or anywhere in between, maintaining your heating system is crucial for both comfort and efficiency. Regular maintenance can prevent those early morning emergency calls and keep your system running smoothly all season long.
